I recently did a assignment for a class and it was to write a short paper about the role of the internet in this presidential election. As I did research for it, I came up with a few ideas that I wanted to put out there, as things to think about.
Why is it that, in my quest to live an “open life,” that I start out secretive. I start blogs with the intention of not being followed. Of not being read. Never being seen. Never to be commented on. There is an area of my life that I remain hidden from anyone. My family knows elements, yet they do not know the full. No one really knows what goes on in my mind. They know parts, but they don’t know the depth. I don’t mean for this to be a skeleton in the closet, for it is nothing like that. It is more like a child wanting to finish a project before showing it off to their parents.
I had a really good discussion recently that got be thinking about the stand points that people have. Primarily in the realm of Christianity. So many people complain about Christians because of their hypocrisy. And I can completely understand that, I would even agree. So I want to look at some various views and what that next “step” is… where people stand.
A mix of literature in the past couple days has me thinking about… life goals. Should you have them? What are they? Are they achievable? How easy should you give up hope? And so on. I have yet to think through this, so join me on my non-epic journey into the forest of my mind.
It has been awhile since I’ve written and I recently read some news which got me thinking about net neutrality and the future of the internet. For those like me, who try to keep up with the internet news and what’s happening in “the cloud,” you get an overwhelmed feeling due to the effects of Moore’s Laws. My RSS feeds are cluttered with 35% more Apple news due to the upcoming MacWorld.
